This piece is from a series of artworks where I explored mixing the silhouette of a Batman mask with other elements to create new images. The Batman silhouette is very iconic and instantly recognisable. I like to play with these elements from popular culture and mainstream to create new imagery. In this case I mixed the Batman silhouette with a Batman smile and a clown nose. Merging the joker and Batman, the bad and the good into one figure. 

For this piece the artist used pieces of a poster for an event in the Ahoy in Rotterdam which is known for it’s circus shows.
