Not all who wander are lost

Not all who wander are lost

The title of this artwork is a quote from a piece of poster in the bottom right corner of the artwork. I was struck by this quote. It reminds of the fast paced society we live in and the lack of time that is being spend in finding ones real purpose in life. There is so much more to life than most of us live for. We are so much more than mere consumers. Time to break free. This is the feeling I’m trying to capture in this artwork.

Urban camouflage ski mask mixed media collage. Made from posters sourced mostly in the streets of Amsterdam, mixed with trash, comicbook clippings and pieces from a found adult magazine.

This artwork is part of a series of skimasks. I choose the skimask silhouette because to me it is an icon of the times that we live in with men in skimasks constantly on the news.
